Packing for south east asia
As you are reading this I am at Birmingham airport waiting to board my flight to Thailand!! Eeeeeeeeeee! I can't wait to get away from rainy England and bask in 35 degree heat. What do I pack has been the big question on my mind ever since I got my flights booked back in May. You can read all about my preparations here. I have a tendency to over pack and not use half the stuff that I have packed so I decided to write a list of the essentials that I will need.

Friday Favourites 10.4.15
Happy Friday ya'll! How amazing has the weather been this week?! Luckily I got to enjoy it to its full form because i am off work for two weeks. Yay half term. I've had a pretty relaxed week. I caught up on a lot of Tv programmes, sleep and ate my body weight in chocolate. I've enjoyed not being woken up by my alarm blurring in my ear very much. I went for a lovely country drive on Thursday followed by a McDonald's. YES. I also attempted to do a workout this week but gave up after 15 mins because I honestly couldn't be bothered.

Advice to my teenage self | Life
1. Stop being so difficult and arguing with your mum. Listen to her, she knows what she is talking about. When you get older you will realise that she only has your best interest at heart.
2. Don't be so quick to jump into relationships. Learn to love life on your own and enjoy being young without the heart ache.
3. BE MORE CONFIDENT IN WHO YOU ARE.
4. Don't applying half a tub of gel in your hair so it sticks to your forehead. It really isn't a good look.
5. On a similar note, stop pulling your hair so tight unless you wont to walk around trying to cover your bold patch for the whole of year 10.
6. Spend more time with your brother and treasure your relationship.
7. Don't worry too much about all the petty fights and fall out that you have with your school friends because years from now all the fall outs are not going to matter.
8. You will fall in love (at least you think it's love) but it will not work out. Don't not be so hard on yourself and feel like your world has fallen apart. It will seem like the worst thing to ever happen to you but i promise you will be better off and much happier than you've ever been.
9. At 16 you will become part of a dance group and it will change your life. You will make lifelong friends and you will learn that a handful of friends is better than a load of aqaintance.
10. Drinking a bottle of vodka and then turning up for your maths lesson drunk isn't cool, It's stupid.
11. That belly button peircing you keep asking your mum to get, turns out in a few years from now you will actually hate the idea of having your belly button done. So don't forget to thank your mum for not letting you have it done.
12. Focus less on boys and more on your education. You will wish you had when you're 23 and sat in a GCSE maths class with a group of 16 year olds who think they know it all.
13. It's okay to not know what you want to be when you're older. Don't feel like you have to choose a career path that your parents will be happy with. Choose a path that makes YOU happy. After all it is you who is going to do this job for the next 50 years.
14. There will always be people who will have something bad to say about you. Don't let their comments influence your thinking about yourself.
15. Those school trouser you insist on wearing with the elastic coming off on the bottom, bin them.
They maybe in fashion but the elastic band sticking out makes you look like you have a hairy bottom.
16.Letting the tassles on your underwear hang over your trousers is not the way to get boys to like you.
17. And lastly, do not limit yourself. You have so much more to offer. Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and stop overthinking things.

Friday Favourites: 27.3.15
1. Primark Bag
I bought this bag a few weeks ago when i was having a bag day and decided to treat myself to something nice. I got this bag for £8 and absolutely love it.
This bag has quickly become my go to bag for when I am on the go. It is big enough to fit all my important stuff like phone and purse but also small enough so it doesn't feel like your dragging around a massive suitcase.
2. Lush Tea Tree Water, 100g
Recently i have been having really bad sensitive skin. It doesn't matter if i touch my spots or not they will leave a mark regardless. I popped into lush and the shop assistant pointed out to some products that are good for problematic skin and this was one them. I can honestly say this stuff really does the job.
I still get spots every now and then but they are not as horrible as they were before. I bought this in January and there's still quiet a fair bit left in the bottle. I use it twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening after cleansing my face and you only need about 3 sprays. Its very refreshing and gentle on your skin. If you suffer from bad skin i would recommend this.
3. Just Pink Perfume, 75ml
I got this perfume as part of a gift for Christmas from my brother (technically my mum got it on his behalf). Its a next brand perfume and it came with a body moisturiser. It has a floral scent and is very subtle, not too strong and good for everyday use. Perfect if your looking for a spring fragrance.
4. Coffee Now, Champagne Later
Im obsessed with buying pajamas at the moment. I honestly can't got into town with leaving with a new pair of jim jams. I think its because i spend all in office wear so its nice to come home and change into something more comfortable. I got these in the New look sale for £8 reduced from £17.99 and they are so comfortable to lounge around in.
What caught my eye about these was the slogan 'Coffee Now, Champagne Later'. If we could change coffee to tea then this would be the perfect slogan for me. I also love that the trousers are long legged so they can keep me warm during the cold nights.
5. New underwear
I recently went through a bit of a refresh in my wardrobe and got rid of some of my old underwear and decided to treat myself to some new ones. I'm really loving lace underwire bra's at the moment. I feel all feminine and sexy (lols) wearing them.
They're a nice change from the padded push up bra's that i have owned for a good portion of my life to try and make up for the lack of boobies. I got these pretties from Asos and i really like the lace detail on them.

Changes
Secondly you may have noticed the new blog design. I decided to revamp my blog in hope that it will inspire me to produce more content. As they say, a little change can make a lot of difference. Props to pipdig for sorting me out. I let them set it up for me as i was worried i would set it up all wrong. They were very helpful and I would definitely recommend them.
I am hoping to include more beauty and fitness post so keep your eyes peeled over the next coming weeks.
lots of love,
P x

Hello 2015
2015 is officially here and i couldn't be more excited about this!
I dont usually write New Years resolution but last year i wrote a list of things i wanted to achieve in six months and a further two long term to achieve by the end of the year. This worked well for me so i am going to do the same again this year.
Here is my list
Here is my list
Do a TEFL course. I want to spend 2015 taking up opportunities and trying new things. taking up this course will allow me to teach abroad and experience different cultures. Something that i am really interested in doing.
Learn to drive. Its about time i learned to drive. i have been saying this for the past however long but with the struggle of getting to and from work and my hate for public transport things would be a lot more convenient if i learnt to drive.
Get fitter. What a classic. I'm just specifically aiming to tone up and improve my general fitness. I was very sporty growing up and would like to take up a sport this year to keep me fit and active.

Blog more. One of the reasons i started a blog was to improve my writing skills. I have been pretty rubbish at putting up new content on my blog and struggled to balance real life and virtual life. This year i plan to schedule better and be more efficient with my time.
Travel more. After visiting and loving Malawi and Cape Verde last year, i am determined to do it again but in a different country. There are a few places that come to mind when i think of places to visit this year and they are Croatia, Thailand and Iceland.
Another thing i plan to do throughout the year is to fill a jar with memories that make me smile. On New Years Eve, open it up and reread all the good stuff that made the year wonderful! I got this idea from pinterest and i love it.
So there we have it. A list of things i'm aiming to achieve this year.
Do you have any New Years resolution?
